Bhagwant Mann's swearing-in ceremony Higlights: Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Bhagwant Mann was sworn in as the Punjab Chief Minister at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district on Wednesday. I thank you all & AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann 1.36 pm: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took oath today at Khatkar Kalan, the birthplace of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders took part in the swearing-in ceremony. 1.26 pm:Bhagwant Mann Takes Oath As New Chief Minister Of Punjab. 1.19 pm: CM designate Bhagwant Mann, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab's Governor Banwarilal Purohit arrive at khatkar kalan, where Mann will be taking oath shortly. 1.00 pm: Bhagwant Mann to take oath shortly.  12.35 pm: The swearing-in ceremony, earlier scheduled to commence at 12.30pm, has been delayed as Punjab CM-elect Bhagwant Mann, governor, and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal are yet to arrive at the venue. Most of the newly-elected Punjab AAP MLAs have reached the venue in Khatkar Kalan. 12.20 pm: Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan said that the Aam Aadmi Party's win in state assembly elections is “just a beginning.” Maan, who is in Khatkar Kalan to attend the swearing-in ceremony, told news agency ANI that the ideology of AAP is special and he prays that “God gives them (AAP) courage to make prosperous Punjab.” 12.10 pm: Lok Sabha member Manish Tewari shared the invitation card sent to him to attend Bhagwant Mann's swearing-in ceremony, saying he will not be able to make it due to the Parliament session. Tewari also said that he was not invited to Charanjit Singh Channi's oath-taking ceremony despite being from the same party. 12.00 pm: Over three lakh people are expected to attend Punjab CM-designate Bhagwant Mann's oath-taking ceremony, likely to start at 12.30pm. Renowned singer Gurdas Mann, Manmohan Waris and his brother Kamal Heer, Karamjit Anmol, Binnu Dhillon and other famous personalities from the Punjabi music and film industry are among the special invitees. 11.42 am: The people of Punjab will come together today to help make the state happy and prosperous, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted Wednesday morning, hours Bhagwant Mann is sworn in as the state's new chief minister. 11.40 am: Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav wished AAP's Bhagwant Mann ahead of the oath-taking ceremony. Wishing the new government a successful tenure, Stalin said that Tamil Nadu and Punjab share a long history of being vocal about linguistic rights and rights of the state in the Indian Union. 
11.30 am: "The golden rays of the sun have brought a new dawn today. Today the whole Punjab will take oath at Khatkar Kalan to make the dreams of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Baba Sahib come true," Bhagwant Mann tweeted this morning.
11.28 am: AAP National Convener Kejriwal said, "Today is a big day for Punjab. Today the whole Punjab will come together to witness the dawn of new hope and take a pledge to make Punjab prosperous again. To witness that historic moment, I am going to Shaheed Bhagat Singh's paternal village Khatkar Kalan." Aam Admi Party (AAP)'s Punjab face Bhagwant Mann is all set to be sworn in state's Chief Minister at 11.30 am at Khatkar Kalan, Bhagat Singh's ancestral village, in the presence of the party convenor Arvind Kejriwal and all its MLAs while the outgoing CM Charanjit Singh Channi hasn't been invited. 11.08 am: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that "Punjab is set to witness new dawn" as Punjab CM-designate Bhagwant Mann is set to take oath on Wednesday. 11.00 am: Renowned Singer Gurdass maan reaches at Khatkar Kallan village to attend swear-in ceremony of Bhagwant Mann. 10:27 am: 'I am leaving for his native village Khatkar Kalan to follow the thinking of Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji', koos CM designate Bhagwant Mann.
10.00 am: Today marks an important day in the history of Punjab as 3 cr Punjabis will together be sworn in as CM along with Bhagwant Mann. Oath to change this corrupt system & to fulfill dreams of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh & Babasaheb Ambedkar: AAP Punjab co-in charge Raghav Chadha   9.23 am: People begin arriving at the venue of CM-designate Bhagwant Mann's swearing-in ceremony in Khatkar Kalan. Mann had invited the people of the state for the ceremony, urging men to wear 'basanti (yellow)' turbans and women to wear yellow 'dupatta (stole)' for it. 9.00 am: Family members and those who are close to the Chief Minister-designate have been invited to the oath-taking ceremony, besides several artists from Punjab. Arrangements have been made to accommodate lakhs of people at Khatkar Kalan for the ceremony on 100 acres land. 8.30 am: The venue at Khatkar Kalan is all decked up ahead of Bhagwant Mann's oath-taking ceremony. Mann will take oath as the Punjab chief minister on Wednesday in Khatkar Kalan. Khatkar Kalan is the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district of Punjab. 7.30 am: Traffic Police issue diversion plan for swearing-in ceremony.
