In order to mitigate the potential impact of Covid-19, which has disrupted the examination calendar for the past two years, both the CISCE and the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) are conducting two board examinations in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The ICSE exams were conducted between November 29 and December 16 last year and the ISC exams were held between November 22 and December 20, 2021.
The CBSE had planned to release first-semester results by January 15 but had to postpone it without providing a new date. The board stopped allowing same-day correction of multiple choice answer sheets in the school premises itself around midway through the examination schedule due to numerous issues, delaying the release of results.
