Haryana: Woman's body found stuffed in suitcase on Rohtak highway; probe on
Panipat (Haryana), March 7: A woman's body was found in a suitcase on the Rohtak-Jaipur highway near a railway overbridge in Panipat city of Haryana.
A Haryana Police team arrived on the scene after receiving information about the incident. The Forensic Science Laboratory team also arrived and inspected the suitcase and the area where the suitcase was found. IPS officer Mayank Mishra, ASP Panipat zone, and his team also arrived at the location.
According to police officials, all necessary evidence has been gathered.
"The police are investigating. Since the body was unidentified it was sent to the civil hospital," police officials said on Tuesday.
Since then, the video has gone viral on social media platforms. A woman is seen lying inside the suitcase with her mouth taped shut and her legs tied together with a green rope in the alleged video.
According to police, the manner in which the body was discovered indicated that it could be a murder case.
Shashank Kumar Sawan, Superintendent of Police, has formed five teams to investigate the incident. The teams include the Crime Investigation Agency Units 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Sector 29 police station, and the ASP leads the cyber team.
