Pradyuman Murder Case: CBI is likely to support the bail plea of Ashok Kumar

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is likely to support the bail plea of Ashok Kumar, the bus conductor, who was initially suspected by the Police to be the alleged murderer of Pradyuman Thakur, a student of Ryan International School. The bail application will be heard on Thursday. As per reports, CBI does not have anything incriminating against Kumar, is investigating the role of a 16-year-old student of the school, who, according to the investigators, murdered Pradyuman to delay school exams and the Parent teacher meeting. The teenager had earlier confessed to having murdered Pradyuman, later changed his statement in front of a juvenile welfare officer. The agency sources have said that the probe is based not just on confession, but circumstantial and forensic evidence. The CBI had also arrested four cops of the Haryana Police for destroying the evidence in the murder case. Pradyuman's family had since beginning doubted the Haryana Police's version of accusing Kumar as the murderer of their son. The CBI too doubted the police's role and cited that the cops "destroyed evidence" while zeroing down on Kumar. -PTC News
