Singhu killing: Lakhbir Singh's family meets national SC panel chief

Singhu killing: Family members of Lakhbir Singh, who was murdered at Singhu, met National Commission for Scheduled Castes chairman Vijay Sampla in Delhi on Monday.

We ensure that one of the victim's kin is provided employment and compensation." We have sought a detailed report. The Punjab Government should have heard them, but the way they behaved is condemnable." He added that, "We cannot come to any conclusion until the inquiry is over." Dalit man killed at Singhu border booked for sacrilege - India News The SIT was formed following a complaint made by Lakhbir’s sister, Raj Kaur who sought a probe as to who took him to the Singhu border. The SIT is being headed by Additional Director General of Police (Bureau of Investigation) Varinder Kumar and comprises two other members, Ferozepur Range DIG Inderbir Singh and Tarn Taran SSP Harvinder Singh Virk. The SIT is investigating the circumstances leading to the lynching of Lakhbir Singh at Singhu border.
