India vs Ireland T20 World Cup 2024 Match Today: On Wednesday, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team will take on Paul Stirling's Ireland in the opening match of the Twenty20 World Cup at the recently built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

The slow outfield, large square borders, and drop-in strips of inconsistent bounce in New York may have contributed to the unexpected increase in T20 stocks of anchors and accumulators during the World Cup. India will need to be adaptable in their lineups to defeat hosts United States, Ireland, and Pakistan in that order, having scheduled three of their four Group A games at the site. Only then can they prepare for the slower tracks in the Caribbean for the Super 8s.

India vs Ireland predicted XIs

India's anticipated XI was: Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson/Axar Patel, and Rohit Sharma (c).

Indian player to keep an eye on: India's performance in this competition will be determined by Hardik Pandya's bowling statistics. Pandya took a long time on Monday at the Cantiague Park nets to bowl to Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav, and Kohli. The Indian squad may also try to play Shivam Dube and add another spinner to the lineup if he can bowl at least three overs per day.
