PTC Web Desk: A 21-year-old woman from Seoul has recently gained attention on TikTok and Instagram by humorously sharing her extensive list of allergies, playfully referring to having "37 new ways to die." Joanne Fan, a content creator, detailed her food allergies, which exacerbate her eczema.
Notably, nuts and seafood are among the items she highlighted as allergy triggers, according to the New York Post. Despite initially stating 37 allergies as her favourite number, she admitted that the actual count is much higher.
After undergoing an allergy test at a clinic last month, Fan discovered additional allergens. Surprisingly, some fruits that she didn't suspect to be allergic to, such as grapefruit, showed reactions on the test.
Her social media videos, featuring this revelation, have garnered millions of views across platforms. While joking about "new ways to die" in her videos, she clarified that she isn't stressed about her condition.
In one of her Instagram posts, Joanne Fan discussed the challenges of dining out, mentioning how she senses flare-ups coming on and experiences itching or overheating within minutes of consuming allergens.
However, Joanne Fan shared that the most challenging aspect is how her allergies impact her eczema. She revealed that her skin condition has significantly affected her confidence this year, causing noticeable flare-ups that prompt questions from others about her appearance.
