Lal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the spokesperson of the actor informed on Wednesday.
He said that Aamir Khan has tested positive for coronavirus and that he has put himself in self-quarantine in his home, following all the protocols.
He’s doing fine, the spokesperson said, adding that all those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure.
Besides Lal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had also tested positive for COVID-19.
Khan is working on Laal Singh Chaddha a Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks’ 1994 Hollywood classic, Forrest Gump. It also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and is expected to release by the end of this year.
The news of Aamir testing positive for coronavirus comes at a time when the number of coronavirus cases has been on the rise in India, with Maharashtra on the top of the tally.
Even as the state government has put a ban on Holi revelry. The BMC has already banned all private (inside housing societies) and public Holi celebrations on Holika Dahan and Rang Panchami.
