Coronavirus: All shops, restaurants in Mohali allowed to open on Sunday as well
Mohali COVID-19 Lockdown: With the fall in coronavirus cases in the District, Mohali District Magistrate IAS Girish Dayalan, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 144 of Cr.PC, has ordered several relaxations in continuation and partial modification of previous orders.
Giving updates about lockdown in Mohali, All non-essential shops, restaurants etc. have been allowed to open on Sunday as well, from 5 AM to 7 PM. IELTS Coaching institutes in Mohali are allowed to open subject to curfew timings provided their teachers, staff and students have had at least one dose of coronavirus vaccination.

It would be personal responsibility of the owner to ensure strict adherence to this. Skill Development Centers and Universities shall be allowed to open conditional to the staff and students having taken at least one dose of vaccine.

Bars, Pubs and Ahatas would also be allowed to open at 50 percent of their capacity; however social distancing protocols must be maintained, and waiters/ servers/ other employees should have taken at least one dose of vaccine. The management shall be personally responsible to ensure the same.
In addition, activities not specifically prohibited vide orders dated June 8, and June 16, would be permitted subject to compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines.
These orders shall not apply to Containment Areas – operational now – where a strict perimeter control shall be enforced and movement of persons shall be prohibited, except for essential services.
Any violations shall invite criminal proceedings under the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The orders shall remain enforced till further intimation.
