Harsh Vardhan, former Health Minister, leaves BJP post ticket denial

PTC News Desk: Harsh Vardhan, a seasoned leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Union Health Minister, announced his retirement from politics on Sunday. This decision came just a day after the BJP unveiled its initial roster of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, notably excluding Harsh Vardhan from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat and nominating Praveen Khandelwal in his place.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media platform X, Harsh Vardhan reflected on his illustrious electoral journey spanning over three decades. He expressed gratitude for the unwavering support received throughout his political career, during which he secured victory in all five assembly and two parliamentary elections with significant margins. Additionally, he held numerous esteemed positions within the party organization and both state and central governments.
