Police arrest two for demanding ransom in name of gangster Goldy Brar
Faridkot (Punjab), March 5: Punjab police on Sunday arrested two accused for demanding ransom money in the name of gangster Goldy Brar.
According to the information received, the arrested accused made an extortion call and demanded a ransom of one lakh from a local shopkeeper.
In this case, the complainant, who owned a grocery store in the Sadiq Chowk area, reported to the city police station that he received extortion calls from two different numbers last evening. The accused, on the call, pretended to be Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar and demanded Rs 1 lakh. They claimed to know everything about the complainant's family and threatened to kill them.
The Police have seized money and two mobile phones from their possession.
