Sikh Human Rights Activist Charanjeet Singh Shot Dead in Pakistan Sikh community leader and human rights activist Charanjeet Singh was shot dead in broad daylight by bike borne assailants in Pakistan’s Peshawar, reports confirmed. The incident took place at Scheme Chowk, Budhbir area of Peshawar, when Singh was sitting in his shop, Pakistan media reported. The killers fled immediately from the crime scene. Singh moved to Peshawar nearly 20 years back and was a respected leader in the region. The motive behind the incident is still unknown, while community and local political leaders suspect Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) involvement in the assassination.
