Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sunny Deol stated that he or his family members have no link with actor Deep Sidhu who was among the agitators at the Red Fort amid violence during the farmers' tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day. A section of protesting farmers in huge numbers broke barricades, clashed with police, and entered Delhi. Punjabi film actor Deep Sidhu was among those at the Red Fort where flags were put up. As per the report, Deep was an aide of Deol during the Lok Sabha elections 2019 when Deol contested from the Gurdaspur seat in Punjab.
