Amazon Investigates Employees Leaking Data for Bribes A few number of Amazon employees leaked confidential internal data and also offered other services to the sellers registered to their e-commerce platform for bribes. Amazon is investigating this report and employees for leaking confidential data for bribes. According to the report, a few Amazon Employees are allegedly selling search and sales information to independent sellers who are selling products on the Site. By getting this information, they would help them get an edge over competitors. It is a violation of company policy. Brokers who were working as intermediaries for Amazon employees were also offering bribes to delete negative reviews as well as to restore banned accounts. The investigation by Amazon Company was started in May after getting tipped off to a practice of leaking in China Plant. In exchange for getting exclusive information or restoring of banned accounts or to remove negative reviews, they used to get cash payments from around $80 to more than $2,000. "In addition, we have zero tolerance for abuse of our systems and if we find bad actors who have engaged in this behavior, we will take swift action against them, including terminating their selling accounts, deleting reviews, withholding funds, and taking legal action." -PTC NEWS-
