Petrol and Diesel price in Delhi: The prices of petrol and diesel remained unchanged for the third consecutive day on Sunday. Meanwhile, the petrol price in Delhi was sold at a record high of Rs 84.70 per litre while prices in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata were Rs 91.32, Rs 87.40 and Rs 86.15 per litre, respectively. Reportedly, the pump price of diesel remained static in India on Sunday. In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, the diesel price was at Rs 74.88, Rs 81.60, Rs 80.19 and Rs 78.47 per litre, respectively. The petrol price is at a record high in the national capital while it is just a bit away from the highest ever price of Rs 91.34 in Mumbai while the Diesel price in Mumbai was at an all-time high. On January 6, the State-owned fuel retailers -- Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) -- had resumed daily price revision after almost a month-long hiatus. The recent hike in fuel prices came following a surge in crude oil prices as the price of benchmark Brent crude increased by over $57 a barrel.
