The death toll in Pune has risen to 11 on Thursday after a wall collapsed near Tangewala Aranyeshwar Colony in Sahakar Nagar, amid heavy rainfall. Total 11 deaths have been reported in Pune district due to heavy rain till now. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1177103975088152576 Meanwhile, 8 bodies have been recovered in city area while 3 bodies are recovered in Khed Shivapur, as per ANI. The ongoing flood situation is set to get worsen after 85,000 cusecs of water released from Nazare Dam post heavy rainfall in Saswad city. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1177083286167777285 While sharing condolences to the deceased, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "Pained to know about the loss of lives in and around Pune due to heavy rains. My deepest condolences to the families. We are providing all possible assistance needed." Mumbai: 7-year-old boy dies due to drowning after he fell into a drain in Dharavi "State disaster management officials and control room are in continuous touch with Pune collector and Municipal Corporation. Two NDRF teams are deployed in Pune and two in Baramati. One more NDRF team is on the way to Baramati. State Government is also closely monitoring the dam discharge," he added. Meanwhile, Pune District Collector, Naval Kishore Ram while addressing media said, "About 14,000 people are being shifted to safer places in Baramati area due to prevailing situation in the area following heavy rainfall and release of the water from dams." -PTC News-
