Sukhpal Khaira resigns as MLA Bholath
Punjab Democratic Alliance candidate from Bathinda and Chief of Punjab Ekta Party, Mr Sukhpal Khaira, resigned from membership of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. He was elected from Bholath on AAP ticket in 2017. He has sent his resignation to the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly.

On January 6, he resigned from the primary membership of AAP. He accused AAP of totally deviating from the ideology and principles on which it was formed after the Anna Hazare movement.

He then formed Punjab Ekta Party (PEP). He is also a candidate of the Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) from the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat.
