Donald Trump Praised India’s Efforts In UN US President Donald Trump lauded India efforts to bring down the poverty rate from 55 per cent to 28 per cent in ten years. India has lifted millions of its citizen out of poverty while addressing in the United Nations. Trump’s remark came after the estimation was revealed by the UN Development Programme. A week ago, estimates by the UN Development Programme and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative revealed that more than 271 million people have come out of poverty in India between the period 2005-06 and 2015-16. And our thoughts turn to the same question that ran through all their speeches and resolutions, through every word and every hope." He also cited Saudi Arabia, Israel and Poland in his speech and lauded them for their efforts for their country. -PTC NEWS  -
