Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. Manekshaw led the Indian Army to victory in East Pakistan is heavily praised for the victory over Pakistan in 19871 war. Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw passed away on June 27, 2008, at the age of 94. Hence, Meghna Gulzar has shared the poster here on Friday, which is marked as the Sam Manekshaw Death Anniversary.
Meghna Gulzar announced the film in 2017 stating the film will not be a biopic. She said that the film will be made on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw but it will not a biopic, just like Raazi. She just wants to showcase the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
