Jassi Sidhu murder case: Mother and uncle to be produced before local court today
Malkit Kaur and maternal uncle Surjit Singh Badesha will be produced before local court in Malerkotla on Tuesday in an honour killing case of Canada-born Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu.

Earlier, Malkit Kaur (70) and Surjit Singh (75) were produced before the court of Justice Harpreet Singh in Sangrur by Punjab Police. The local court had sent them to four day police remand.

After 18 years , Jaswinder’s mother and uncle were extradited to India by Canadian authorities. They were handed over to Sangrur police after extradition from Canada.

Malkit and Surjit were charged with the conspiracy to kill Jaswinder kaur. A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including 302 and 120 -B registered at a police station in Sangrur.
