New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and his partner Sarah Raheem have been blessed with a baby girl, Williamson announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday.
Kane Williamson shared a picture of himself with his newborn baby girl and wrote, "Overjoyed to welcome a beautiful baby girl into our family."
The NZ skipper Kane Williamson and Sarah Raheem have been a couple since at least late 2015.
Kane Williamson was on paternity leave to be with his wife Sarah during the birth of their first child. His wife had studied in Bristol and a nurse by profession.
The right-handed batsman missed the recently-concluded 2nd Test against West Indies. He has also become the World No. 3 Test batsman. He was granted paternity leave after which he left practice to attend to a medical situation with his wife.
Meanwhile, congratulatory messages and comments started pouring in for Kane Williamson. Former Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate Shikhar Dhawan was among the first ones to send a congratulatory message.
"Congratulations and lots of love to you and your family," Dhawan said.
Former New Zealand coach and RCB Director, Mike Hesson, took to Instagram to congratulate the new parents. "Congratulations Sarah and Kane delighted for you both..... Exciting times ahead," Hesson wrote.
