BSF recovers 2.5 kg narcotics dropped by Pak drone in Punjab's Fazilka

Fazilka (Punjab), June 2: Border Security Force (BSF), in a joint operation with Punjab Police, recovered around 2.5 kilograms of suspected narcotics dropped by a Pakistan drone in the Fazilka district of Punjab on Thursday.

According to a BSF statement, on specific information, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police and some houses were searched under Chakkhewa village of the district.

Two suspects were apprehended during the search. During interrogation, three packets of suspected heroin totalling around 2.5 kg were confiscated from the individual's home based on the revelation made by one of them.

The package was most likely delivered by drone a few days ago and then concealed inside the house.

The case has been registered, and further investigation is being conducted.

Border Security Force seized approximately four kilogrammes of suspected narcotics dropped by a Pakistan drone in the Taran Taran region of the state on May 29 in a combined operation with Punjab Police.
