Punjab Curfew/Lockdown extended for two weeks, announces CM

In an order to prevent the spread of coronavirus outbreak, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday announced the extension of the lockdown/curfew in the state for two weeks from May 3. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has announced relaxation for 4 hours from 7 am to 11 am. The shops can operate in between this with 50 percent of staff. Punjab Chief Minister also appealed to the people to maintain the social distancing and asked them to adhere to the rules made by the Punjab Government to prevent the spread of coronavirus. He also asked people to use the masks while stepping outside their homes. He said that so far it has been found that the novel virus spreads from one person to another. Talking about the industries, the Chief Minister stated that the industries functioning will have to maintain social distancing.
