Shocking! Woman set on fire while she was performing puja on Diwali night
In a shocking incident reported from Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, a 37-year-old woman was allegedly set on fire on Diwali night.
According to the information, the woman was doused with petrol and allegedly set on fire by her rapist. She has suffered around 50 percent burn injuries.

Reportedly, the woman had registered a case in April this year against her neighbor.

The neighbour has been identified as Lekhraj. She alleged that Lekhraj had raped her and was blackmailing her.

Though an FIR was filed against the accused by Jaipur police, no action was taken against him.
Meanwhile, on Diwali night, the accused had allegedly entered a woman's house and doused her in petrol while she was doing Laxmi poojan.

Furthermore, the accused threw a burning diya (lamp) on her.
Now, the victim has been admitted to burns ward of SMS hospital. The Jaipur police has put a guard on her home.
An FIR in this regard has also been registered while the accused is yet to be arrested.
