SAD will not allow an enemy of Sikh Panth - Congress to grab Sikh institutions - Parkash Singh Badal Former Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal today declared that “the Khalsa Panth will never allow the enemies of the Sikh quom, the Congress party, to grab the Sikh Gurdwara sahiban and preside over the destiny of the Sikh heritage. Addressing an unprecedented and mammoth gathering , largely of the Sikhs, here this afternoon, Mr Badal said that he had always maintained that all these false allegations against his party on the issue of the sacrilege were a part of deep rooted Congress conspiracy to grab control of ‘Sikh Gurdhams” with the final aim of securing a clean chit for the army assault on Harmandar Sahib and the massacre of thousands of Sikhs. “The cat has been let out of the bag by none other than Captain Amarinder Singh himself who has publically announced his intent to grab control of Sikh shrines. This sensational disclosure by Captain Singh has also confirmed our suspicionthat some so-called Sikh organizations which had always opposed theSAD, are in league with the anti-Sikh Congress in this conspiracyagainst the Sikh masses as well as against the SAD,” said Mr Badal The former Chief Minister said that the first indication of the Congress intentions in this regard was given by Navjot Sindh SIdhu during the last session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha where he had openly urged his party colleague and cabinet colleague Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa to prepare for grabbing control of Sikh shrines. Now, this has been confirmed by Captain Amarinder Singh himself. “From now, the fight is between Khalsa Panth and Congress Panth.” The former Chief Minister said that the Congress government in Punjab has totally betrayed the people of Punjab by going back on every promise that they had made. And the wife of one of their main leaders, Navjot Sidhu, has confirmed that there is no dearth of money in government treasury but the ministers are looting it. “This is the certificate which this Congresss government has received from one of its main figures.” Also Read: SAD Asks Jakhar To Stop From Cheap Photo Ops To Generate Cheap Publicity Speaking on the occasion, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal said the real demons were those who committed sacrilege at Bargari. He said this was done to destroy peace and communal harmony in Punjab. “If anyone was mortified at this development it was the SAD. The Congress used this incident to launch a defamation campaign against us and is still teaming up with elements who are using the name of the Panth to earn money in the name of religion”. Stating that today’s gathering had proved who was right and who was wrong, Mr Sukhbir Badal said as far as AAP leader Sukhpal Khaira was concerned, the latter did not have any respect for Sri Guru Granth Sahib and had gone to Bargari today only because of monetary interests. Speaking about chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s visit to Lambi today, the SAD president said it was astonishing that Amarinder had found time to come to Lambi one and a half years after being rejected by the people. He said earlier also the chief minister did not visit Amritsar after winning the Lok Sabha election from the seat. “He has not cared to visit Patiala even once after getting elected from the city in 2017”, he added. The SAD president said S Parkash Singh Badal believed that Punjab would prosper only if there was peace and communal harmony. He said the Congress government on its part had failed to maintain peace and had even reneged on the promises made to the people. “The Congress government has closed down Sewa Kendra’s, stopped scholarships for SC students and even stopped the CM Teerath Yatra scheme”. He asked the Congress government to disclose what had happened to the 32 lakh jobs promised to the people.
